EASY PROTEIN PACKED CHEESEBURGER BOWLS


Let me get something off my chest. Filming everything I want to share with y’all is hard as shit. I watch other peoples perfect little recipe videos and wonder what voodoo they do to make it so steady and pretty. Anyway my disclaimer is I have 3 little kids running around and I try to film with a stand (they inevitably knock over) or my shaky ass hand the best I can! That being said YOU HAVE GOT TO HAVE THIS ONE in your weekly rotation. A cheeseburger bowl is my end of week - clean out the fridge, and cook the 100 lbs of ground beef my husband likes go keep stocked in our freezer?? -go to!!

Makes 4 bowls


Special Sauce:


1/4 cup Mayo

1 Tbsp ketchup

1-2 tsp yellow mustard

1 Tbsp dill pickle relish with juice (I ran out and had to use sweet but both work)

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper

Splash of cayenne (optional for spice)


Burger Meat:


1 lb ground beef, grass fed preferred

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper

1/4 cup shredded cheese, cheddar preferred


Bowl:


4 cups lettuce, chopped -romaine preferred (I ran out and used arugula/spinach)

chopped tomatoes

Pickled red onions, I love @mezzetta

Chopped dill pickles

Avocado


Directions:

1. Make special sauce by combining all ingredients under special sauce.

2. Sauté meat with olive oil. Add seasonings and stir until cooked through. Add cheese and let melt.

3. Assemble bowls. Lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, red onions, burger meat, and avocado slices. Top with additional cheese (optional). Drizzle with special sauce.

4. Enjoy!
