BABY & TODDLER
FRENCH TOAST STICKS
I don’t know about you but I seem to always forget about French toast for breakfast. It is such an easy option that is perfect for baby led weaning and a treat for the toddlers.. So if you need something new to the mix, try out this super easy French toast recipe.
Ingredients:
2-3 slices of kids favorite bread, white or wheat works best to soak up eggs
2 eggs
¼ cup milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
Butter for cooking (butter works best here)
Cinnamon/sugar combo for topping, (skip for the baby)
Directions:
1. In a swallow dish, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
2. Dip bread in egg mixture and flip making sure bread has time to soak up egg.
3. Heat 1 tbsp of butter (per slice) over medium heat in large skillet. Take one slice of bread at a time and cook until golden brown and then flip.
4. Repeat until all slices are cooked.
5. Slice bread into 4 “sticks”. Serve topped with cinnamon/sugar and syrup. You can also use “snow” aka (powdered sugar) as a fun topping.
