GRINCH RICE KRISPIE TREATS

I found this cute recipe on delish.com and had to copy. This is such an easy and fun treat to get your kids involved. What kid doesn't love a rice krispie treat?! My 2 year old helped “count” marshmallows and stir them, while my 4 year old helped shape and

decorate the grinch faces.

INGREDIENTS:

3 tbsp butter

40 large marshmallows or 1 bag mini mallows

9 drops of green food coloring

6 cups of rice cereal

1 bag M&Ms (yellow or orange only for eyes)

½ cup chocolate chips

1 tsp coconut oil

Anything other decorating sprinkles etc you may have!

DIRECTIONS:

1.       Melt butter in large saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir in marshmallows until almost melted.

2.       Drop food coloring in marshmallows and mix until grinch green color.

3.       Remove from heat. Stir in rice Krispies.

4.       Spread onto wax sheet and let cool for 4-5 min.

5.       Spray hands with nonstick spray and make grinch shaped heads. Almost like a long tear drop with a curved top.

6.       Press two M&M’s for the eyes.

7.       Melt chocolate with coconut oil in microwave on 30 sec increments, stirring between until melted.

8.       Place into Ziplock bag and cut the tip (make it small) off the corner. Squeeze chocolate to make eye brows, pupils, mouth/nose, and swirly head.

9.       Have fun and let kids decorate: add a santa hat, scarf, different colored eyes etc!!
