Jalapeno Cheddar Protein Bagels

JALAPENO CHEDDAR PROTEIN BAGELS:
Makes 4 bagels
Per Bagel:
Calories: ~173 kcal
Protein: 11g
Carbs: 15g
Fat: 7.5g
Fiber: 0.5g
INGREDIENTS:
1 CUP SELF-RISING FLOUR
1 CUP PLAIN GREEK YOGURT (I PREFER FAGE 2% FOR THE PERFECT CONSISTENCY)
1/2 tsp salt
1 Jalapeno, (half diced and the other half thinly sliced)
½ cup shredded cheddar (I used a lite shredded cheddar to reduce fats)
1 egg, beaten (you will only use 1/3 of it)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yogurt, and salt and mix until a dough forms. Add in diced jalapenos and cheddar cheese. Mix with hands until dough is well-combined and no longer sticky.
3. On a floured surface, knead dough for 2-3 minutes. Roll into a big ball. Cut into 4 even sections.
4. Roll each section into a snake shape and bring both ends together to form a bagel shape. Pinch and place on parchment paper.
5. Brush tops with egg mixture. Sprinkle with a little more cheese and sliced jalapenos. Bake for 18-22 minutes.
6. To serve, slice in half, toast, and add toppings of choice.

INGREDIENTS:
1 Jalapeno Cheddar Protein Bagel
2 egg whites + 1 egg, scrambled and seasoned with salt and pepper
3 chicken sausage links, (I prefer Amylu chicken breakfast sausage), cooked
1 tbsp whipped cream cheese or cottage cheese ;)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Slice bagel in half and toast. Spread cream cheese on bottom and top.
2. Stuff with egg scramble and chicken sausage links. It will overflow! ENJOY!
