Y’all! This may be my easiest recipe yet. I took a bunch of short cuts but created a delicious, easy, crunchy chinese orange chicken dish that is to die for.
Recipe serves 2
Ingredients:
8-10 @justbarechicken nuggets (or frozen nuggets of choice) *hint* when popping them in for the kids just add extra for you
1 jar orange sauce (I got the spicy orange sauce from @sprouts target has one and most grocery stores)
1 microwaveable bag brown or white rice
2 cups broccoli florets
¼ red onion, chopped thick
Sesame oil and olive oil
Sesame seeds
Green onion, sliced (I did not have any but this would have been perfect)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Sprinkle broccoli and red onion with olive oil, sesame oil, salt and pepper. Toss well.
3. Bake at 400 for 20 min or until tender- tossing halfway.
4. While broccoli roasts, cook nuggets in air fryer until almost crispy. I cooked 8-10 nuggets at 350 for 10 minutes. Could also add to broccoli sheet and cook in oven for same time.
5. When nuggets are almost done, take them out and toss them in a bowl with orange sauce. Return to air fryer and cook for another 4-6 minutes depending on preference. I like mine extra crispy!
6. Prepare bowls. First rice, then roasted broccoli/onions, orange chicken, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion!
7. Enjoy!
