THE CHICKEN NUGGET PROJECT: CHICKEN PARMESAN


Ok so my husband came up with this idea originally but I had to remake and share because it is probably the greatest hack for making chicken Parmesan using @justbarechicken (the best IMO). It comes together so fast and tastes like the real thing. You can use whatever noodle you prefer but I am loving angel hair these days.


Recipe makes 2 servings


Ingredients:

2 servings angel hair pasta (or pasta of choice)

6-8 chicken nuggets (3-4 each), cooked according to package

1 jar Raos marinara (won’t use it all)

8 mozzarella balls (or chop whole milk mozzarella into 8 bite sized pieces)

Shredded Parmesan cheese

Italian Seasoning

Red pepper flakes

Couple cherry tomatoes

A couple leaves of fresh basil


Directions:

1. Cook pasta al dente.

2. Bake or air fry chicken nuggets until almost done (leave about 2-4 minutes of cook time left).

3. Assemble in an oven safe bowl: first ladle one serving of pasta into ramekin, mix 2 Tbsp of @raos sauce or more depending on preference.

4. Top with chicken nuggets in center. Add 1 Tsp of Raos on top of nugget, sprinkle parmesan, Italian seasoning, mozzarella ball and then chili flakes. Add fresh tomatoes!

5. Bake at 400 for 5 minutes. Then switch to broil on high and cook for 1-2 min or until melted and bubbly.

6. Remove from oven. Top with finely chopped basil and more Parmesan!
